Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of tty.bio (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use tty.bio.

1. The service

tty.bio provides a terminal-style profile page with two front doors: a human-readable web page, and machine-readable interfaces (curl, llms.txt, and an MCP endpoint) for AI agents acting on a visitor's behalf. Which of your data each door can see is controlled by the visibility settings you choose — see our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use tty.bio.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
• One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.

3. Handles

Your handle (tty.bio/yourhandle) is yours while your account is active and in good standing. We reserve a small set of handles that collide with site routes, brand terms, or common impersonation targets, and we may reclaim a handle that infringes someone else's trademark or is used to impersonate another person or organization.

4. Your content

You own what you post. By posting it, you grant tty.bio a license to host, display, and transmit it — including returning it via automated queries, to the extent your own visibility settings allow. You're solely responsible for your content, and it must not:

• Impersonate a real person or organization you're not authorized to represent.
• Contain illegal content, or content that harasses, threatens, or defames others.
• Infringe someone else's intellectual property.
• Be used to distribute spam or malware.

5. Automated & agent access

Agent and automated access to public and agents-only data through our documented interfaces is an intended, first-class use of tty.bio — not something we consider abuse. That said, the following are prohibited for any client, human-driven or automated:

• Attempting to enumerate, scrape, or bulk-download profiles beyond the single handle a request is scoped to.
• Attempting to bypass a profile's visibility settings.
• Circumventing rate limits, or querying at a volume/pattern intended to degrade the service for others.

We may rate-limit, block, or require API keys for automated clients that violate these terms.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

7. Disclaimers

tty.bio is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, tty.bio and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of tty.bio will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
